Preschool Discovery, for kids ages 3-5, will help develop literacy skills in preparation for school. The story times will consist of different themes every week including family, love, holidays, friendship, animals and food, which in turn will highlight our vast youth collection.

(This Spanish Storytime is dedicated to preparing your child for entering school. Join us for stories and songs as we learn school subjects and, most importantly, the skills needed to read.)

Adult book club for lovers of mysteries and thrillers. This club meets once a month @ 6:00 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month.

The public input meeting for the new Senior Activity Center is an opportunity for you to tell us what you'd like to see in the new facility.

Join District 5 Council Member Margaret Lucht for an informative event the South Garland Branch Library. Topics will include Neighborhood Police Officers and starting a Crime Watch group; Neighborhood Vitality and how to start a Neighborhood Association; and updates from the Street and Transportation departments.
